Date Counters Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 1, 2026
Your dates stay on your device. We don’t need to be involved.
Date Counters is a simple, free app for counting days. We don’t collect your counters, read your dates, or track how you use the app.
What you count is your business. We just want to make the counting useful.
What stays on your device
Your counter names, dates, settings, and photo backgrounds are stored locally on your device. The app shares the information needed for widgets with its own widget extension on that same device.
We don’t upload this content to our servers. We don’t have an account system or a database of your counters.
Your device’s backup services may include app data, depending on your settings. Those backups are handled by Apple or the backup service you choose.
No tracking. No data business.
Date Counters has no advertising or analytics SDKs. We don’t build profiles of you, track your activity across apps, or sell or rent your personal information.
The app is completely free. Always will be.
Photos and optional Unsplash searches
If you choose a photo from your library, the app stores a local copy for your counter background. We don’t receive or upload your personal photos.
If you use the optional Unsplash photo search, the app connects to Unsplash to search for and download images. Unsplash receives your search terms, image requests, a download notification when you select an image, and connection information such as your IP address. It handles that information under its own Privacy Policy.
Your counter names, dates, and personal photos are not sent to Unsplash. You can use Date Counters without using Unsplash.
If you email us
If you contact taylorarronj@gmail.com, we receive your email address and whatever you include in your message. That information is handled through our email provider and used to respond and help with your request.
We keep support correspondence only as long as needed to handle your request or meet legal obligations. You can email us to request deletion of that correspondence.
Please only send information you’re comfortable sharing.
Deleting your information
You can delete counters inside the app. Removing the app removes its locally stored app data; copies in device backups may remain under your backup provider’s settings and retention rules.
We don’t have a copy of your counters to retrieve or delete.
Changes to this policy
If the app’s privacy practices change, we’ll update this page and its effective date.
